Letizia Perna-Forrest is the Head of Patient and Family Support at the Royal Trinity Hospice in London. 

Letizia has worked as a clinical social worker and psychotherapist for over 14 years and is also an experienced clinical supervisor and educator.  Letizia initially joined Royal Trinity Hospice in March 2011 as a senior social worker and worked psychotherapeutically with patients, family members/friends, and children around issues of grief and loss.  In January 2014, Letizia was appointed to head the patient and family support service and has been responsible for growing the service’s profile both internally and externally and initiating and developing new service developments and provisions.  Prior to joining Trinity, Letizia worked for 6 years at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Centre in New York City

Letizia holds a Master of Science in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Chicago.  Letizia is a member of the London End of Life Clinical Leadership Group, responsible for providing strong clinical and professional direction essential to supporting high quality clinical commissioning, and she is also a trustee for Cruse Bereavement Care. 

Letizia trained as a Difficult Conversations facilitator in 2015/16.
